.MONTHLY EETING I I i The monthly meeting of the jOhingaiti branch of. the Women's In-1 istitute was held in the Memorial Hall, lon Friday, June 13, Mrs. Florence - presiding. I Owing to the wintry weather conditions prevailing, only a small attendance was present. Several apologies for absence were received, and a new member was welcomed. The meeting opened with the “Ode to Friendship,” and the Creed. The annual ball, held at the beginning of the month, was discussed, and was voted a financial success. Members took the opportunity to thank their president for the untiring service rendered to this cause. Miss Dorothy Stent’s resignation from the office of secretary was accepted with regret. Mrs. G. Stent kindly consented to carry on in this capacity for the next month. The hostesses for the afternoon, Mrs. L. E. Weston and Mrs. Rose, served a most welcome afternoon tea, i following which the meeting was clos- . ed with the singing of the National - Anthem.
