60,000 Women at Italian Display on Child Welfare
ROME—Some 60,000 women ol ever” class of society and from every part of Italy came to Home for the opening of the Child Welfare exhibition, in the ex tensive area of the Circus Maximum under’ tho Palatine Hill. Peasant women were attired in their local costumes. The Child Welfare exhibition »u organized by the Fascist Party to show the work .accomplished by the lascist regime in fostering education of th, youth of the nation. There are 11 pavilions at the exhr bition. One shows numerous paintingand sculptural works taken from the chief picture galleries and museums ot Italy to illustrate the inspiration ot children to artists; in another are illustrated various activities for the a sistance of children. Ono special se tion shows the measures taken by ’ 1 Fascist Government to conbat aleoh l l Another pavilion illustrates the wo < done for the training of minors and another relates to schools, while spc :asections are set apart for the sum: ci colonics organized by the local authorities.
