SAFETY IN MINES
AUSTRALIAN INQUIRY RECOMMENDATIONS BY ROYAL COMMISSION. SYDNEY, June 20. Far-reaching recommendations involving a large expenditure are made in the report of the Royal Commission on safety and health in coal mines. These include the compulsory use of electric safety lamps, and the prohibition of naked lights and of smoking and of the carrying of matches ir mines.
