Mr. and Mrs. M. S. McGrail, Wanganui, are staying at Hotel Cecil, Wellington. Miss Beth Robbins, a member of thc Auckland Hospital nursing staff, is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Robbins, Gonville, on her holidays, after spending a week at the Chateau. Mrs. J. S. Scoullar, of Huntly, is visiting Wanganui. Mrs. O. P. Burt, Whakatane, was a recent visitor to Wanganui. Mrs. J. E. McKelvey, Auckland, was a visitor to Wanganui yesterday. Mrs. D. Bird, Victoria Avenue, is spending a few days in Wellington. . » « « Mrs. F. W. Carey, of Liverpool Street, Jett yesterday for a brief holiday in Wellington. Miss Natalie Riley has returned to Westmere from a-holiday in Wellington. Nirs. P. A. O’Neill and Miss Nance O’Neill, Ingestre Street, have returned from Auckland. Mrs. H. Luckman, Wellington South, and Mrs. M. New, Oriental Bay, are spending a week in Wanganui. Miss Suzanne Gresson, Taihape, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Stanley Jameson, Fendalton, Christchurch. An Australian women's basketball team will visit New Zealand in April of next year. The visiting players will be required to pay their own expenses, estimated at about £3O each.
