TIGERISH BOXING
INVERCARGILL BOLT JACK DAVIS BEATS ADAMS ( I’cr Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, June 19. In a 10-round professional boxing match to-night between Les Adam: (Ashburton) and Jack Davis (Hast ings), the latter won a first-class bout on points. The men were evenly matched am each weighed 10.3. Davis punishec Adams in the close work and in thr later rounds shook him with heavj rights. Davis’ display was a surprise one. He fought tigerishly throughout all ten rounds and had a good margin in his favour at the finish.
