BRITISH MARKETS
NO ACTIVITY IN BUTTER. Received June 18, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, June 17. The markets are depressed but investors are so innured to crises that there has been no rush to sell. Most prices now stand at attractive levels in view of the good trade news, especially the record steel output, but few are confident enough to buy. Butter is easier with no activity, but traders consider the setback salutary after the recent rise.
