MAN’S BODY FOUND
DISCOVERY AT BOTTOM OF CLIFF ON LEAVE FROM WELLINGTON. I Per Pres- Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, May 21. The body of H. L. Leithwaite, of Wellington, was found or. the rocks below the highest point of Whitewash Head, Sumner, to-day. Mr. R. A. King, a member of the Sumner Lifeboat Brigade, found a man’s overcoat at the top of the cliff. One pocket contained money and a letter which indicated that Leithwaite was absert on sick leave from the Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington. King communicated with Constable Kearney, and a search was made with a boat, the sea being smooth, and little difficulty was experienced in recovering the body.
