Jack Donovan made bis first appearance in Auckland on Saturday night when he wrestled *iollend Kirchmeyer and was disqualified in the seventh round for what the referee held to be a deliberate punch. Kirchmeyer h'id previously obtained a submission fall in the third round with the application of a “python" clutch. Donovan evened the falls in the sixth round, when, after a succession of jolts, he picked up his opponent and twice slammed him to the mat before finalising with a body press.
