SERIOUS WATER SHORTAGE. HOLIDAY BOOKINGS CANCELLED [ Per Press Association ] CHRISTCHURCH, May 21. A serious water shortage is being felt at Diamond Harbour, a resort across the harbour from Lyttelton. The position is due to the lack of an appreciable rainfall :,ind residents have been forced to cart water for household use. One well-known accommodation house has been forced to cancel holiday bookings because of the water shortage.
