PILOT’S ACHIEVEMENT Received May 17. 10.3 p.m. LONDON, May 17 A pilot safely force-landed an eight-seater air-liner engaged in antiaircraft exercises, on a strip of grass 50 yards wide between two rows of houses at Brighton. The plane lost its way in mist and rain and ran out of fuel. In the landing it tore down telephone wires, but damaged only the starboard wing.
