TO COST £22,000

AUSTRALIAN PAVILION A\ CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION [ Per Press Association J WELLINGTON, May 16. Plans for the Australian Government pavilion at the Centennial Exhibition were announced to-day. Tenders for its erection have closed and details of the £22,000 contract will be announced on Thursday. The building of the pavilion, which is to be perhaps the finest undertaking of the kind ever attempted by the Commonwealth, will probably begin on Monday. The pavilion, which is to stand on the right of the main gate opposite the British Government pavilion, will occupy 22,000 square feet. It is of striking modern design. Much of it is walled with glass, which will create an impressive and brilliant effect by night or day.
