OPERA HOUSE
CHANG’S MYSTIC REVUE. The amazing magic of Chang has a most suitable background in the revue "A Trip to Hades,” coming to the Opera House next Saturday afternoon and evening. More than 50 magnilicent robes are worn by Chang before a bewildering succession of gleaming embroidered curtains and the Oriental atmosphere is everywhere maintained. Included in the revue are many noted artists of various nationalities, headed by the young American dancer, Joanna Claire. Also in the company is Ross Buchanan, a popular English baritone, while New Zealand is represented in the Bridges Musical Trio, who, with novel musical arrangements, have featured the Cuban Marimba throughout the world, and are a sensational addition to the show. Last of all there is Chang himself, a magician of wide renown, who does his mysterious acts with an air of dignity and captures with his personality the attention of the audience every time he appears. An enormous amount of baggage accompanies the players, for apart from the actual magic, which requires thousands of accessories in itself, there is the spectacle to be maintained. Altogether there are 28 different scenes. Phe box plan is at the D.I.C.
