JUNIOR RUGBY

PROTEST FROM PIRATES TROUBLE FROM BARRAt KERS A protest against the playing of a former representative player by Kauangaroa juniors in their match against Pirates last Saturday was received from the Pirates Club at last night’s meeting of the Junior Management Board of the Wanganui Rugby Union. The protest was upheld and the match awarded to Pirates. Complaints were also received that over-time had been played in the second spell and that drunken supporters. on the sideline had been a cause of trouble. It was decided to send a letter to the Kauangaroa Club regarding the latter matter. So far as the playing of over-time was concerned, no action was taken, the meeting recognising that the referee is the sole judge of time.
