VERDICT OF SUICIDE. ( Per Press Association ] DUNEDIN, May 15. At the inquest to-day on the body of Joseph Cross, aged 63, Portobello, farmer and county councillor, who was found dead on May 11, the coroner returned a verdict of suicide by shooting. Gas Poisoning. The inquest also concluded to-day on George Woodland, aged 67, who was discovered dead in bed on May 11. The coroner found the cause *£ death was gas poisoning.
