MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB. (Own Correspondent.) Last week the first shoot for J. Bourke’s trophy was fired. More than half of the riflemen reached the standard, the shoot-off for the Hannan Cup points being won by J. Kelly 3, P. Woon 2 and S. Fowler 1. Scores were:—J. Kelly 69, 69, hep. nil—l3B; P. Last Thursday’s bogey match was won by Mrs. Holmes, who finished all square, while the B section was won by Mrs. O’l.eary 3 down. Coronation Cup. Much lower scoring was registered in the mixed foursomes competition held last Saturday to decide the holders of the W. Baldwin Coronation Cup for this year. The winners were:— Miss G. Simpson and M. B. Wilson, 90, 202-60-1; runners-up Miss D. Castles and S. Holmes, 90, 20i—71i. Other good nett scores were:—Miss A. Castles and O. B. Hawken 73, Mrs. Groshinski and P. In perfect weather conditions 74 players took part in the TawheroWangaehu match of the series for the D.C.L. Cup. Fortunes varied until Wangaehu eventually emerged Ihe winners by three matches.
