”OOR DEMAND FOR MUTTON CHILLED BEEF FIRM Lamb market: There is a better feeling in the market and prices w here changed have advanced slightly. Consumption continues good. Mutton market: Wethers, prices generally easier owing to lack of demand. Ewes, .steady, but trade quiet. Beef market: Frozen beef, better inquiry, owing to higher prices chilled. Chilled beef, firmer on the good trade and lighter supplies. N.Z. porker pigs: Trade quiet with prices unchanged. ’ N.Z. baconer pigs: Steady. The lamb market is steady, but. the demand for New Zealand mutton is poor. The market on the spot is weaker. Henry S. Fitter and Sons.
