SERIOUS FIRE
ARMY ORDNANCE DEPOT BLAZE FOLLOWS ANONYMOUS THREATS (By l -'egraph - Press Association— Copyright) < Independent Cable Service). Received May 10, 11.50 p.m. LONDON, May 10. Following anonymous ihreats received at the nearby R.A.F. airport, a big blaze occurred at the army ordnance depot near Nottingham last night. It was feared that hundreds of light motor vehicles and tyres were destroyed. The depot is one of the chief distributing eentres of army cars. A later message states thah the petrol tanks burst and one big shed was destroyed, but, the others were saved. It is officially stated that, no vehicles were damaged and a large number of tyres was saved.
