SHIPMENTS TO JAPAN TRADE UNION PROTEST SYDNEY, April 26. The secretary of the Australian Council of Trade Unions, Mr. C. Crofts, to-day sent a telegram of Protest to the Prime Minister against the
shipping of silver and lead concentrates from the Mount Isa mines, Queensland, to Japan. He stated that the waterside workers at Townsville were loading the concentrates under protest and trouble similar to that at Pork Kembla was, likely to occur at anv moment. ' 1
