"FRESHMAN YEAR"
FRANK MELTON IN J.EAD Frank Melton, comedy lead in Universal's "Freshman Year,” was a protege of the late Will Rogers and played in more consecutive pictures with the humorist than any other actor. He appeared with Rogers in six successive productions. In playing the part of a boy who flunks out at college, Melton practically took a page out of his own life. It actually happened to him twice, once at West Point and again a l . Citadel, the South Carolina military school. "Freshman Year" is a realistic comedy drama of college life with music. It is the first of a sparklin„ new series. Beside Melton, it features Dixies Dunbar. William Lundigan, Constance Moore, Ernest Truex and Stanley Hughes.
