HIGH TRIBUTES PAID
HEAD OF DAIRY BOARD MR. T. C. BRASH [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, April 20. Tributes to Mr. T. C. Brash, executive head of the New Zealand Dairy Board, who has been associated with the industry for the past fifty years, were paid by speakers at the conclusion of the Dominion Dairy Conference in Wellington to-day. Mr. C. P. Agar said he hoped that though Mr. Brash had reached retiring age his services would not be lost to the board. “The industry needs a dairy board,” added Mr. Agar. “The board has done wonderful work and we would not be complete without such an organisation.” The chairman, Mr. W. E. Hale, said that according to the rules, Mr. Brash was due to retire this year but the board proposed to give consideration to the question at its next meeting. All would agree with Mr. Agar that Mr. Brash had given a most valuable service to the industry. Mr. Brash said he admitted that the Dairy Board had meant a great deal to him. For years before his association with the board it was his ambition to see the industry represented by a Dominion organisation.
