After two attacks of Influenza, which compelled her to cancel all her engagements for the last month, Viscountess Bledisloe is convalescing at Bath, wrote a London correspondent on March 30. She became ill immediately after returning from Mentone, . and was unable to be present at the New Zealand Day celebrations in London at the beginning of February. From Bath, Lord and Lady Bledisloe will go to Lydney Park. Aramoho W.I. Garden Circle. This week’s meeting of the Garden Circle of the Aramoho Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. H. Rowling, St. John’s Hill. The new convener, Mrs. A. F. White presided. The members enjoyed a talk given by Mrs. G. Spooner on some of the pretty gardens she had seen while in Auckland. Afternoon tea was served and thanks were expressed to Mrs. Rowling for her hospitality. Silver Wedding Party. A very pleasant bridge evening was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Cooke, Sedgebrook Street, Wanganui, on Saturday, April 15, to celebrate the 25th. anniversary of their wedding. The lounge was gay with bowls of dahlias and chrysanthemums and the breakfast room had vases of autumn-tinted chrysanthemums. The supper table looked very pretty with crystal vases of autumn-tinted pom pom dahlias. The cake, which held pride of place, was beautifully iced and adorned with some of the flowers and favours which had helped to decorate the original wedding cake. The usual toasts were honoured and responded to and many congratulations and good wishes were received.
