TWO YOUTHS FINED

HOOLIGANISM ON BEACH. I I Per Pre# Association. 1 NEW PLYMOUTH, March 20. Holliganism at a beach camping resort resulted to-day in the prosecu- i tion of two young men, Nicholas Goodwin and Lloyd Anzac Thomas., who were charged in the Police Court with disorderly behaviour at Oakura • Beach. Each was fined £2. Commenting on the difficulty of detecting such offences, of which the police said many reports had been re- ; ceived, the magistrate, Mr. W. H. Woodward, commended the two' young girls who had made the complaint, and made an order prohibiting the publication of their names. He did not think they were confirmed hooligans, he said to the offenders, or he would have sent them to gaol.
