ENGLISH RUGBY TEAM LONDON, March 6. A New Zealander, I. E. Parsons, a member of the Royal Air Force, is England’s full-back for the Rugby match against Scotland on March 18.

It was in 1933 that the newlycapped English international left New Zealand for England, Group-Captain T. M. Wilkes, Controller of Civil Aviation, having made arrangements for him to go forward with the idea of trying for a short service commission in the R.A.F. Like most others sent forward I. E. Parsons was an all-rounder in sport. As a Rugby footballer he played for the first fifteen of the Christchurch Boys’ High School and later for Canterbury College. He was in the Public Trust Office before leaving for England. Two seasons ago he represented the Air Force and held his place as fullback in the R.A.F. side last season his rank in the service then being sergeant.
