MARTIAL LAW IN IRAQ

TROUBLE AT HEADQUARTERS OF ARMY (Independent Cable Service.) Received March 7, 11.5 p.m. BAGHDAD, March 7. A Royal decree enforces martial law at Rashind, six miles from Baghdad, where the army headquarters are situated, and in the neighbouring districts. The imposition was necessitated by mischeifmakers who attempted to deceive a number of army officers, but the army as a whole is loyal. A number of suspects have been arrested.
