NATIONAL FIRE COUNCIL PROPOSALS CONFIDENTIAL Following a conference between the executive and Mr. J. W. Heenan, Under-Secretary of the Department of Internal Affairs, the conference of i the United Fire Brigades’ Association of New Zealand yesterday decided to leave the matter of the proposals for the formation of a National Fire Council in the hands of the executive. The secretary, Captain T. J. Watts, reported that, the proposals, which were confidential, had been discussed at a conference the previous night.
