INVESTITURE CEREMONY

ORDER OF ST. JOHN TO BE HELD IN WANGANUI An investiture ceremony is to be ■held by the Commandery in New Zealand of the Order of St. John in Christ Church, Wanganui, on Tuesday, March 14, at 8 p.m. The Knight Commander of the Order in New Zealand, the Hon. Sir Robert Heaton Rhodes, K.C.V.0.. K.B.E. will conduct the investiture and will be accompanied by the Deputy Knight Commander, Colonel James J. Esson, C.M.G.. V.D., and the secretary to the Knight Commander, Mr. C. S. Falconer, 5.8., St.J., F.P.A. (N.Z.).

The postulants to be invested are Commanders John Brine, Hopeful Gibbons; Serving Brothers Dr. A. J. Crawford, William Bourne, and Richard R. Wakeley. The officiating chaplain will be the Rev. Archdeacon J. R. Young, M.A. An official parade of all units of the Wanganui St. John Ambulance Brigade is being called and it is expected that the services of a band will be secured to lead the march to Christ Church.

Wanganui arrangements for the Commandery Council of the Order. Wellington, are being made by Mr. D. E. Gullery, secretary of the Wanganui Centre of the St. John Association. in collaboration with Mr. Hope Gibbons,..
