WEIGHED IN LIGHT Received March 7, 10.10 p.m. MELBOURNE, March 7. L. J. Ellis, the rider of Disdain, weighed in four pounds light in the Northcote Handicap. The stewards held an inquiry and found that Ellis failed to put on his lead vest. They fined him £2O for carelessness.
