CHEESE BUTTERFAT

2d DIFFERENTIAL PAYMENT MINISTER ASKED TO IMPLEMENT PROMISE 1 Per Press Association.! PALMERSTON N., March 7. The Central Ward conference passed a resolution to-day protesting against the decision of the Minister of Marketing, Hon. W. Nash, regarding the question of 2d differential payment for cheese butterfat as compared with the price of butterfat for the 1937-38 season and asking that the Minister implement his unconditional promise that 2d would be paid. A letter from the Minister stated that after careful consideration of the facts he considered that the Government would not be justified in making a further payment for cheese for the 1937-38 season. Figures were presented by the Minister to support his contention.
