More names are wanted on the board. The open pairs tournament has reached an interesting stage. McKenzie and Hamer, with 9 wins and 1 loss, and Bland and Brabyn, with 9 wins and 2 losses, are the leaders. The first pair have another game to play.

CENTENNIAL PARK BABY CARNIVAL

The Town Committee, presided over by Mr. T. E. Barton, held a meeting in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday evening, when a ladies’ committee was appointed. The campaign is to open on Friday night with a euchre party at Gould’s Cafe and the public is cordially invited to attend. The supper arrangements were left in the hands of Mesdames I. Jolly, A. A. Mclndoe, W. A. Sawyer, Misses B. Purnell and R. Mogridge. The candidates are: Country, Godfrey James Briant. Town: Anthony Jolly.
