OHINGAITI CHOSEN
BIBLE CLASS CAMP (Own Correspondent) OHINGAITI, March 6. Each year, throughout New Zealand, the Presbyterian Young Men’s Bible Class Union holds about 20 Easter camps. (Incidentally, the Bible Class movement is about the biggest youth movement in New Zealand). This year the camp for the Palmerston North district is to be held at Ohingaiti on Mr. L. E. Weston’s property. These camps are financed by the fees paid by the campers, assisted also by donations of food (vegetables, fruit and meat) from the church people and others interested. This camp will be attended by approximately' SO lads, ages from 14 years upwards, and drawn from an area extending from Levin to Raetihi. Since November last the camp committee. consisting of the local AngloPresbyterian class, together with a few members of others classes, have been making arrangements for the forthcoming camp. The purpose of the camp is primarily spiritual, hence addresses and study groups form a large post ion of the programme, but in addition the camp provides a welcome holiday lo the young fellows, many of whom live in the larger towns. However, amusement and recreation are not neglected. sports, concerts and other attractions being included on the programme. This is the second of these camps to be held at Ohingaiti, the previous occasion being in 1936. The committee is busy preparing for the camp and hoping for a repetition of the fine Easter of that year, but It is presumed that farmers are hoping for a repetition of last Easter. Easter. _________
