Snake serum has been found of considerable value in the treatment of certain diseases. Mr. F. W. Fitzsimmons, Director of the Port Elizabeth Snake Farm, and possibly the world’s greatest snake expert, reported that out of 250 epiletics treated with colubrine venom 18% were completely cured. 76% had definitely fewer seizures and only 6% failed to respond—Chambers’s Journal, Edinburgh.
