PART PLAYED BY TOWERS
“The team's performances throughout the season were most satisfactory from every point of view, particularly pleasing being the high standard attained by the forwards,” states the annual report of the Randwick Rugby Club, Sydney. "Cyril Towers very capably led the side and his brilliance and sound generalship were largely instrumental in winning many vital matches. To Keith Windon, his able deputy, and all members of the team heartiest congratulations are extended. "F. W. (Wally) Meagher should be more than compensated for the many hours he devoted to coaching the team. He has proved once again hit outstanding ability in this directior and the club is very fortunate, in deed, to have the services of such e capable official. "Len Palfreyman, who occupied the position of co-selector of the team proved a particularly sound judge, and the club's congratulations are extended to him for the able manner In which he carried out his duties.”
