So heavy was the fog o/e/ New Plymouth airport this morning that the Airways plane due from Auckland at 9.5 was unable to land. She headed for Hawera aerodrome, landing there shortly after 10 o’clock. This is the first time that a plane has landed at Hawera as an alternative to New Plymouth.
