OBITUARY

MR. ROSS HALDANE The death occurred at New Ply-j mouth last night of Mr. G. Loss Haldane, of Godwin Crescent, Wanganui. The late Mr. Halda-ne was a member of the teaching staff of the Wanganui Technical College and was exceedingly popular. He took a keen in-, terest in hi§ work, teaching commercial subjects, and, in addition to that, he held the rank of captain in charge of the Technical College cadets. He suffered a severe illness for some months a>nd was in New Plymouth to undergo an operation which was performed on Monday. He was able to continue his work at the college until the end of 1938, but was unable to resume duties at the beginning of the present term, which opened this month.
