Reed left Wanganui on Friday for the Christchurch Training College. Mr. and Mrs. Max Smart have returned to Rapanui after a holiday spent at Castlecliff. Mrs. J. Halligan, Wanganui, was a week-end visitor to Wellington. Mrs. Isobel Reid, who has been visiting Wanganui, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. A. Taylor, Wanganui, is visiting Mrs. A. G. Whitelaw, Wellington. Mrs. C. Moulder, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Mackay, Wicksteed Street, has returned to Nelson. Mrs. J. C. McFarlane and Miss Jean McFarlane have returned to “Mars Hill” from New Plymouth. Mrs. Raynor Bell, Dunedin, has arrived in Wanganui to take up Ihe position of directress of music at the Girls’ College. Mrs. Rutherfurd, who has been visiting her daughter-in-law, Mrs. E. S. Rutherfurd, returned 1o her home in Selywn Street at the week-end. j Miss Rosina Benson, Brooklyn, Wellington, who has been spending a month's holiday in Wanganui, has returned home. Miss Betty Hammond, who has been staying with Miss Ngaire Tocker, The Priory, Featherston, returned to her home, Makirikiri, at the week-end. Miss Hath Darlow, of Cheltenham. Auckland, who has been the guest of Mrs. J. M. Russell. Gonville, has returned to Auckland. Miss Alverie Walton, of Gonville. has left for Ohakune to take up the position of secondary assistant teacher at the Ohakune District High School. Her sister, Miss Joan Walton, will leave to-day en route to Christchurch for a course at the Training College. * * * * Mrs. E. B. Tustin, Kings Avenue, leaves to-day for Christchurch. She will be accompanied by her daughter. Miss Patricia Tustin, who will enter the Training College. Also travelling with them is Miss Mollie Paul, of St. John’s Hill, who is also going to the Training College.
