SPECIAL RESERVE—TERRITORIAL 1 CRCE. A TTRACTIVE conditions are offered to physically fit young men between the ages of 18 and 30 years to enjoy a healthy and congenial life for five months. Free clothing, medical attendance and vocational training are provided. RATES OF PAY. (a) During five months’ initial training, 8/- per day, seven days a week (less 2/6 per day for quarters and rations supplied). (b) During ten days ’annual camp, minimum 12/- per day, which includes camp allowances. (Rations and quarters free). VOCATIONAL TRAINING. Part of the training time of each man will be spent at the nearest Technical College, where facilities will be provided for him to receive instruction in one of the courses provided by that College. Selection of the course will be made by the man. TERMS OF SERVICE.

(a) Five months’ (20 weeks) continuous training at a camp or fort before posting Io a Territorial Unit. Training commences on February 22 and terminates on July 12. (b) Attendance for three consecutive years at the annual camp (10 days) of the unit to which posted. CONDITIONS OF ENLISTMENT. Every applicant must fulfil the following conditions:— (a) Be a British subject. (b) Be unmarried. (c) Have attained his 18th but not passed his 30th birthday on enlistment. (d) Be not less than sft. 7in. in height (in socks). (e) Be physically fit. CLOSING DATE. Applications will be received at all Defence Offices up to noon on February 11.
