TEAMS TO MEET RONGOTEA TO-DAY (Own Correspondent) SANDON, Feb. 3. The following teams have been selected to represent the Sandon Club against the Rongotea Club on Saturday. The matches are being held in conjunction with the Te Kawau Tennis Association's competitions. A Team, to play at Sandon.—Misses L. Lumsden, M. Butler, J. Butler, and L. Gedye, and Messrs. F. Meyer, R. Meyer, K. Lumsden and J. F. Bradley. B Team, io play at Rongotea. • Misses G. Adams, J. Davey, D. Flyger, M. Tostevin, and Messrs. K. M. Pearce. P. Gedye, K. Henson and J. A. McColl. Cars will leave at 1.30 p.m. Any member unable to play is requested to communicate with Mr. J. F. Bradley. COUNTY EMPLOYEES’ ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Manawatu County Council employees’ social organisation was held this week. Mr. A. K. Drew was in the chair, and there was a record attendance. It was decided to hold the annual picnic at the Ashhurst Domain on Saturday. February 11, if the grounds are available for that date, and failing this site the picnic is to be held at the Totara Reserve. The annual smoke concert is to be held at Sandon on May 6. Messrs. H. V. Bond, L. A. Sadler, S. L. Kent, E. J. Davey, and W. George were appointed a committee to finalise arrangements.
