SOUTH AUCKLAND WIN In a Hawke Cup cricket match played in Hamilton, South Auckland easily accounted for Marlborough by eight wickets. Marlborough's first innings realised 141, Hastilow (27), Neal (24) and Bonsall (23) being the chief scorers. Going and Badeley took three wickets each at a cost of 48 and 33 runs, respectively. Marlborough were dismissed for 96 in their second strike. Neal (38) was the only batsman to save the side from a complete rout. Going took six wickets at a cost of 26 runs. Waikato were dismissed for 123 in their first innings. T. Lyon (36) and M. Lyon (25) were the chief scorers. F. Cresswell (four for 37) and Neal (three.for eight) were the most successful bowlers. Waikato had lost two wickets for 120 runs when the game finished. T. Lyon (61) and Bright (28) were the chief scorers.
