GOOD COMPETITION Received Jan. 5, 10.35 p.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 5. At the wool sales a good general competition prevailed and the market was very firm for all descriptions. Greasy Merino sold to 21Sd per lb. The offering was 11,388 bales, of which 10,590 were sold by auction, also 1457 privately.
