( The Hawke’s Bay Jockey Club’s summer meeting opened to-day in fine weather with a record crowd and the track in perfect order. The totalisator handled £16,125 10s, compared with £11,719 10s last year, an increase ol £4406. W. Tricklebank, rider of Illinois, in the Otatara Highweight, was suspended for a month under Rule 289.
