VICTORIA AND N.S.W. Received Dec. 24; 1.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, Dec. 23. In the Sheffield Shield match against Victoria, New South Wales, in their first innings, made 294. Fingleton made 45, Cheetham 42, Chipperfield 66, and O’Reilly 47. Bowling, McCormick took five for 63, and Fleetwood-Smith, three for 100. Victoria have lost none for nine in their first innings.
