The Season’s Greetings. Catherine Enwright, beauty specialist, wishes to convey the season’s greetings to her many clients and takes this opportunity of thanking them for the patronage during tne year and looks forward? with pleasure to their support in the coming yeai. She assures her clients that the same care and attention given during the past year will continue to be the aim of herself and staff. Dance at Putiki. The Christmas Eve dance to be held at Tuhirangi Hall, Putiki, is always looked forward to by dance enthusiasts. Patrons will be treated as usual with a popular dance programme, and music will be in full swing at 9 p.m. T.G. Music Appreciation Group. A pleasant time was spent at the Maudiette tearooms, on Thursday afternoon, when members of the Musical Appreciation Group of the Townswomen’s Guild met ior their final meeting of the year. After an enjoyable afternoon tea had been served, Mrs. J. G. Denniston, on behalf of the assembled members, presented Mrs. L. B. S. Amies (convener) with a crystal condiment set, and referred to the wonderful service she had rendered the group during the year. A shoulder spray and small crystal dish were presented by Mrs. Amies to Miss Mol-1 lie O’Malley (secretary) who had so ably assisted her in her duties. Both recipients suitably replied. Among those present were Mesdames J. G. Denniston, L. B. S. Amies, Bertha Bates, J. Soundy, Trass, D. F. O'Malley, R. Westwood, S. J. Verrail, Rice, Summerell, Mcßride, Buller and Walton, and the Misses F. Montgomery Moore and Moilie O’Malley. Druids’ Hall Dances. Christmas Eve (to-night, Saturday) dancing will be held in the Druids’ Hall, where an excellent programme has been arranged. On Boxing night (Monday, December 26) a special carnival dance will be held, when a demonstration of the “Lambeth Walk" will be given by one of the city’s leading professional dancers, also several revue items will appear. Special Christmas hampers are to be won for men and women. With balloons, streamers, and Monte Carlos, excellent music, and floor, and a dainty supper, will assure all patrons of a good night’s entertainment. Xmas Dancing at the Glasgow Hall. Very attractive arrangements have be'en made to cater for dancers during the holidays. At the Glasgow Street Hall to-night, Mel Crichton and his Premier Swing Band, from the Manawatu, will delight dancers with a presentation of a number of hits. Jn addition will be given a demonstration of the “Lambeth Walk,” by Miss Nora Brown, of London, partnered by Mr. Bert Sumpter. On Monday a further dance will be held when demonstrations will be given by Jimmy James, from the Mayfair Cabaret, Wellington.
