SYDNEY WOOL. SALES
RECORD PRICE SECURED. Received Dec. 5, 12.30 p.m. SYDNEY, Dec. 5. The Sydney wool sales were resumed under strong competition from the Continent and Yorkshire and much improved buying by Japan. Prices were very firm with excellent clearances. A record price was secured for fleece and lambs’ wool which made 23Jd. per lb. Of the 11,178 bales offered, 10,230 were sold by auction and also 1554 privately.
