Howie, St. John’s Hill, is the guest of Mrs. J. S. H. Robertson, Lower Hutt, Wellington. Miss Lorraine Watkins, who has been spending a holiday in Christchurch, has returned to Wanganui. Mr. and Mrs. P. Burrows and family, of Napier, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Bousfield, Fordell, for the week-end. Mr. and Mrs. David Blair have returned to their home in Wanganui after visiting Auckland, Tauranga, land Rotorua. At the annual meeting of the Wanganui Ladies’ Golf Club held yester- , day, Miss Montgomery Moore was reelected president. Miss Morva Howland, of Hastings, arrived in Wanganui on Monday to spend two weeks’ holiday as the guest jof Mrs. Estcourt, Allison Street, Durie Hill. . Miss Joyce Penberthy, Wellington, spent, the week-end in Wanganui with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Penberthy, Gonville. Mr. and Mrs. C. Liggins, Mr. and Mrs. E. K. Rabone, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Sullivan have returned to Wanganui after visiting Rotorua for the Liggins—Roach wedding. Mrs. H. W. Ross, of Lower Hutt, and Mrs. Dineen, 'of Palmerston North, who have been visiting Mrs. J. A.
