Meteorological Office, Wellington, Tuesday, October 25, 3 p.m. General Situation.—An anti-cyclone lies along the west coast of the Dominion, the highest pressure being in the north. An extensive depression is located on the New South Wales coast. Forecast.—Winds: South-west to north-west but northerlies gradually becoming more general during to-morrow, force strong in some exposed positions but mostly light + o fresh. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough to rough about Foveaux Strait, otherwise slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate but freshening northerly winds, slight to moderate but rising seas. Weather: Fair to fine practically general at first but cloud increasing to-morrow in western and southern districts of the South Island with scattered rains gradually developing. Temperatures moderate The New Zealand Friends’ School.
