( ABLE TO NEW ZEALAND PRIME MINISTER. GRATITUDE FOR OPPOSING RECOGNITION. LONDON, Oct. 12? The Abyssinia Association has cabled to Mr. M. J. Savage, Prime Minister of New Zealand:— “The Abyssinia Association desires to assure you and your Government that a large body of opinion in Britain, irrespective of political sympathies, greatly appreciates and admires the c' , .rect attitude of New Zealand as a member of J ' -> League of Nations in its consistent support of the principles of the Covenant, and is grateful for its opposition to the recognition of Italian annexation. ■“The association, whose members represent the most varied political and religious opinions, is convinced that the majority of P""ons do not support Mr. Neville Chamberlain, Prime Minister, regarding recognition.”
