OHAKUNE

OPENING DAY OF BOWLING CLUB The Ohakune Bowling Club announces that the greens will be open for practice on October 16. The official opening by the Mayor (Mr. H. Delamar) will take place on October 23 at 2 p.m. All old and new members, prospective members and their wives are invited to attend and will be assured of a pleasant season ahead. Members’ wives are requested to bring a basket. An invitation has been extended to Raetihi. Taumarunui, Taihape and all local kindred sports, so the club is expecting to see a record crowd at their opening day.

ANNUAL SALE OF WORK The Presbyterian Church, Ohakune, is holding its annual sale of work on Friday, October 14, to be opened by the Mayor (Mr. H. Delamar) at 2 p.m. There will be an excellent display of produce, plain sewing, sweets, etc., also a fishing pond for the children. The function is to be held in the Scouts’ Hall and to wind up there is to be a social in the evening.
