RUMANIA AT CROSSROADS KING CAROL MUST DECIDE Received Oct. 10, 6.30 p.m. LONDON, Oct. 10. The News-Chronicle's Budapest correspondent says that well-informed business men are of opinion that Rumania has reached the crucial point at which King Carol must decide whether to accept German commercial and political domination or Anglo-French financial support. It is understood that King Carol and Lord Lloyd informally discussed Anglo-Rumanian co-operation. Meanwhile the German Minister of Economics, Dr. Funk, Is reported to have offered Rumania a barter agreement for £8,300,000.
