LEE AT TAIHAPE AN OVATION ACCORDED HIM Prolonged cheering, followed by the singing of "For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow,” greeted Mr. J. A. Lee, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Housing, when he addressed a large audience at the Town Hall, Taihape, on Tuesday evening. The address was broadcast by 2YA Wellington and IYA Auckland. The deputy-Mayor (Mr E. Loader) presided, and introduced the speaker who was accorded a wonderful reception throughout his long and interesting address. A vote of confidence in the Labour Party and in the present representative for the Waimarino electorate (Hon. F. Langstone) was passed at the conclusion of the meeting, and musical honours were accorded the Prime Minister. The meeting was free from interjection. Mr. Lee's address followed much the same lines as that delivered at the Opera House, Wanganui, on Monday night.
