NEW DUTCH LINER

DELAY IN LAUNCHING STUCK ON WAYS FOR HOUR AMSTERDAM, Sept. 12. The 20,000-ton liner Onanje stuck on the ways for an hour after the launching ceremony. In spite of her slow start into the water, the Oranje will be the fastest, as well as the biggest, liner on the Holland-Java route. Queen Wilhelmina, using an ivory hammer, hit the mechanism which smashed the bottle of champagne against the ship's side, and should have removed the last obstacle holding the ship, but the ship refused to budge. After the delay it took the plunge amid cheers.
